Artificial intelligence is a topic that isn’t going away in the health IT and medical community. One reason it’s come as far as it has is thanks to open sourcing, or shared data. Today’s guest, Fred Trotter, has a lot to say about the Vice President’s Cancer Moonshot initiative – which he was recognized for at the White House – artificial intelligence, the way information is shared, open source data in healthcare, and so many other interesting topics.
Fred is the founder of CareSet and DocGraph. He’s also a former marine. He considers himself a “hacktivist,” and is the co-author of Hacking Healthcare, a book providing an assessment of our healthcare system as it uses various forms of IT.
Fred is difficult to get ahold of, and for good reason: He truly wants to help others, and he has, at times, been too generous with his time. It was a privilege to interview him and get an hour of his time so we could pick his brain on various topics.
